Back at work, and frankly I’m glad for the chance to rest.

Christmas and new year was a kid-filled event with lots of toys and noise and stuff. Just the way Christmas ought to be. New year was pretty much the same. Throw in a first birthday on the 5th of January and you’ve pretty much got a whole Christmas break filled with toys, noise and stuff. Oh, and runny noses and coughing.

It’s a bit of a strange birthday, a first birthday. It feels less like a regular birthday and more like some sort of graduation into the world of having an actual age. 1… crikey. The wee guy’s getting on a bit.

Made a return to poker on Saturday which proved that I am now totally crap at poker thanks to lack of play. New years resolution (There are many - mostly forgotten) is to play more regularly and get some proper skills back. Also, I need to play some tournaments in a card room somewhere. On the plus side, I was $0.10 up last night online.

Well, it’s a start.
