Ever get that thing where you can’t be arsed blogging?

Don’t worry. It’ll pass.

In the meantime, here’s a list of things that happened to me lately.

Three-day weekend. Very good. Wedding in Dundee. Very good. Way over-the-odds Offer on the flat within the first week on the market. Very very good.

Back to work. Not so good. New shiny PC at work. Good, but curiously unthrilling. Perhaps I’m losing some geekiness.

Oh, oh! I forgot to mention the next installment in the continuing saga of the dog walker.

For new readers, the person who comes round at lunchtime to walk the dog was told not to bother any more because she didn’t bother doing it. She only came round on a Friday to collect the money. It was a terrible case of animal cruelty and daylight robbery.

Things have, however, gone from one extreme to the other. The nice lady who does it now couldn’t be better. She brought the wheely bin in for us. She even washes the dog’s bowl and tidies her bed. Best of all, she writes a full page of A4 about what doggie got up to that day. Every day. On the one day when she couldn’t find a pen, she recorded an answerphone message that lasted over a minute telling us of how much fun they’d had that day.

When we were at the wedding, we got a text message from the dog to ‘mummy and daddy’.

She’s bonkers, in a very good way.

Oh! It’s five o’clock. Time to go home and read up on the doggie’s adventures for today. I left a pen out especially.
