Bits o’ wood
There’s nothing quite like scraping plaster, pulling up carpets, levering off carpet gripper rods and other manual labour-type activities to make you feel like you’ve done some kind of work. Arr, there’s nothing like the feel of a hammer in your manly calloused hand. Smashing up discarded wood… arrr!
Much unlike the talk we got at work this morning about the importance of endless paperwork. That wasn’t the actual topic, but that’s what it boiled down to. Actually what it really boiled down to was “You’re a very very small cog in a very very large machine but you do have the power to kill”.
I’m sure that’s how psychos start.
In other news it seems that the way to unrestrict a computer bought from ‘The Computer Shop‘ is to sign up with their ISP partners Supanet on a pay-as-you-go basis. Only then will you be able to log on to their website as a customer in order to download the patch that de-restricts the modem and allows you to use another ISP.
Insane. And probably falls under restrictive practices if they were to be reported to trading standards*.
