I’ve just signed up for a Saturday morning course in photography technique at the Glasgow College of Building and Printing. Yay!
Stand by for photo-blogging madness.
In other adult-education news, the guitar tutoring is slowly falling apart. Being in Ireland for a week and trying to re-build a hallway and living room have taken their toll on the required gumption for practice. Must kick myself up the arse / pull my finger out / [insert your favourite anally-oriented phrase indicating a required increase in effort].

Went to The Computer Shop on Saturday to see about the dodgy modem. Lo and behold, the conspiracy theory was correct. The modem had been rigged to dial only one number. You could only use it with ‘Supanet Internet’ and it would refuse to dial any other ISP.
We got a phone number to call that has someone on the other end to talk you through the process of ‘deoptimising’ the modem. You heard that right - the modem had been ‘optimised’ by ensuring that the ‘browser, modem, drivers and ISP were integrated together to ensure better reliability’.
I’m pretty sure that there’s some part of competition law that makes this sort of thing illegal. I think I’ll send a wee email to AOL and Microsoft who have lawyers much more capable of checking that for me. Oooh, I feel all… evil.
