Google pish

Bah. Google API pishy bollocks. I can cope with losing occasional posts, but it’s started to lose me comments too - a problem that I wasn’t previously aware of. And all because the Google API server is up and down like a yoyo at the moment and that causes Movable type to explode, all cogs and springs everywhere.

Some comments have been ‘unlost’ and a flood of duplicate comments have been tidied up. If there are any MT contributing coders reading this, a way of gracefully ignoring a downed Google API server would be nice.

In the mean time, the Google toys have been ripped out of the site. New toys needed.

Anyway - guitar dude came round last night for a proper first lesson. Things learned included…

• Yellow by Coldplay is a very boring song to play
• Heart of Gold by Neil Young is much more satisfying
• I need to stop using moisturiser on my lilly-white hands. Those nasty steel strings hurt me, and can’t be good for my cuticles.

So it’s lots of practice for a week. For homework, I need to find more songs. Suggestions of easy, yet satisfying tunes will be appreciated.
